Biography: Shelagh Delaney was born on November 25, 1938 in Broughton, Salford, Lancashire, England. In addition to plays, she wrote a collection of stories and short nonfiction pieces. Delaney was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 1985. Her daughter is Charlotte Jo Delaney.
