Wiggins began acting when she was ten in British Columbia, Canada. She worked in theater in Toronto as a teenager, then moved to New York and performed on Broadway in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", "There's One in Every Marriage" and "Alone Together".
Her film credits include "My Side of the Mountain"; television credits: "All My Children," "Love of Life" and "Guiding Light." She later produced, directed and hosted her own talk show on W-T-Z-A T-V in Kingston.
After retiring from the entertainment industry in the 1980s she moved to St. Lawrence county, New York and worked as a caregiver with Health Services of Northern New York and the Community Development Program.
