Biography: Thomas Martell Brimm was born Thomas Martel Brim Jr. in 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He performed at Joe Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival, at the Public Theater, and with the Negro Ensemble Company. He established Greenwich Village's Theater of the Streets with a grant from playwright Charles Fuller Jr. and served as the artistic director of the Cellblock Theater. He also directed and oversaw the group Hospital Audiences.
