Biography: Patrick Dominic Quinn was born on February 12, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied theater at Temple University. He was elected president of the Actors' Equity Association in 2000. He helped organize the non-profit organization Equity Fights AIDS (which later merged with Broadway Cares) in 1987. His life partner was Martin Casella.
