Biography: Mary Fickett was born on May 23, 1932 in Bronxville, New York. She studied at Wheaton College and at the Neighborhood Playhouse under Sanford Meisner. She joined the Actors Studio and studied with Elia Kazan. She appeared regularly on "All My Children" from 1970 to 1996 and then occasional episodes afterwards. She married James Congdon, Jay Leonard Scheer, and then Allen Fristoe.
