Biography: Harry Edelstein was born on December 15, 1917 in Komorow, Poland to Irving and Rachael Edelstein. He married Frances Trost. They worked on a chicken farm in New Jersey before opening a candy store in Brooklyn and then three coffee shops. They took over the old ballroom at the Edison, which became the Cafe Edison. Many people from the Broadway industry frequented the "Polish Tea Room." His children are Harriet and Scott.
