Biography: David Brown was born on July 28, 1916 in New York City to Lillian and Edward Fisher Brown. He attended Stanford University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He contributed to publications such as The Saturday Evening Post, Harper"s, Collier"s, and Cosmopolitan. He married Helen Gurley Brown. He founded a production company with Richard D. Zanuck in the 1970s that produced films such as "The Sugarland Express" and "Jaws."
