Biography: Harold Vernon Goldstein was born on December 10, 1923 in Schenectady, New York to Lillian and Louis Goldstein. He studied at Albany Teachers College, and served in the United States Army during World War II. He performed in summer stock, and then studied theatre at Cornell. While there, he met his wife, Lea Vernon. They had three children -- Deborah, Joshua, and Lowell.
