Biography: Jill Clayburgh was born on April 30, 1944 in New York City to actress Julia Louise and Albert Henry "Bill" Clayburgh. She attended Sarah Lawrence College. She joined the Charles Street Repertory Theater in Boston before making her Broadway debut in 1968. She married playwright and screenwriter David Rabe in 1979 and had two children: Michael and Lily.
