ABOUT THIS THEATRE

Description
Eugene De Rosa, achitect. Producer Lyle Andrews built it to house his own productions but lost theatre during the Depression. From 1939 to 1952, it was used as a radio studio (NBC then ABC). Irving Maidman bought the theatre and reopened it as a legit venue, but it only lasted a year before being razed to build a parking facility designed by reknowned theatre designer Herbert J. Krapp.
