Description
David Douglass' third theatre, modeled after his Southwark in Philadelphia. Presented Douglass' American Company of Comedians. During the British occupation, it was taken over by the military for amateur theatricals and renamed the Theatre Royal. Later, reverted back to its original name. When the American Company moved into a new theatre, it was closed. Grant Thorburn's Feed Store next door welcomed the additional space.
