Comments
After the matinee performance on Saturday, October 21, 1933, Millicent Hanley took ill with a 104 degree fever, and subsequently withdrew from the production after only three performances. Irene Blair, who played the role during the production's pre-Broadway try-out at the Boulevard Theatre in Jackson Heights, Queens in August 1933, came in and played the role of Thona Landof from the evening of October 21, 1933 through Saturday, November 4, 1933. Doris Walton succeeded Blair in the role beginning November 6, 1933.
