Also known as:
Jack Featheringill [Birthname]
Featheringill was a beloved friend, mentor, director, PSU Professor Emeritus and Drammy committee member. He was an inspiration to several generations of Portland actors and crew, and a role model in living life to the fullest. He will also be remembered for his work as a stage manager, casting director and dancer, on Broadway and elsewhere, in the 50s and 60s, with the stage name of Jack Leigh. In addition, since 2001, Jack underwrote the Featheringill Theatre and Drama Scholarship at Indiana University, his Alma Mater. He worked tirelessly in Portland as an advocate for CASA (a nonprofit network supporting and promoting court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children), volunteered as an ombudsman for eldercare and on a drug and alcohol abuse hotline. Words are inadequate to describe his contribution; he enhanced the lives of so many.
