Blake Edwards

Blake Edwards was born in Tulsa, OK. His stepfather's father, J. Gordon Edwards, was a silent screen director, and his stepfather, Jack McEdwards, was a stage director and movie production manager. Edwards was known as a versatile and volatile Hollywood figure who wrote, directed and produced eight “Pink Panther” movies and films such as “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” “10” and “Victor/Victoria,”. Edwards received an honorary Oscar in 2004 from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and recieved a nomination for “Victor/Victoria”. That movie garnered a Golden Globe award for his wife, singer-actress Julie Andrews.
Blake Edwards also produced and directed the origional musical Victor/Victoria on Broadway.
