Biography: Jacqueline Victoire Brookes was born on July 24, 1930 in Montclair, N.J., the daughter of the former Maria Zur Haar and Frederick Jack Brookes. She studied at the University of Iowa and utilized a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She began teaching acting at the Circle in the Square Theater School in 1974.
