Richard Johnson

A founding member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Mr. Johnson acted professionally for six decades. His movies included "Khartoum" (1966), which also starred Laurence Olivier and Charlton Heston, as well as "The Pumpkin Eater" (1964), "Turtle Diary" (1985), "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) and two in which he portrayed the fictional detective Bulldog Drummond: "Deadlier Than the Male" (1967) and "Some Girls Do" (1969).

He was married four times, including, briefly in the mid-1960s, to the actress Kim Novak, whom he met during the filming of "The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders" (1965), in which they starred.

His Broadway credits include The Golden Age and The Complaisant Lover.
